AirTag Helps Recover Stolen Luggage in North Carolina

As per reports from Queen City News, a family arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport from Florida and realized that one of their bags was missing from the baggage claim area.

Interestingly, the missing bag had an AirTag concealed within. Using this tracking device, they located the bag in Gastonia, North Carolina, not far from their location. Upon reaching the identified residence, the bag’s owner alerted the authorities.

Upon investigation, not only was the bag recovered, but another suitcase belonging to a different traveler, also missing from the airport, was found in the same residence. Regrettably, the recovered bag was largely empty, leading to suspicions that the thief had sold off its contents. The individual responsible was subsequently apprehended and faced charges related to multiple theft incidents.
