AMD announces the new Radeon RX 7900 GRE

AMD has expanded its range of graphics cards with the new Radeon RX 7900 GRE. This is a new model that promises high performance, with a particular focus on games at 1440p but with the possibility of venturing into higher resolutions and still obtaining excellent performance.
The latest arrival of AMD Radeon, according to the company, has a cost-benefit ratio 14% higher than the NVIDIA RTX 4070. Also noteworthy is a significant reduction in the price of the Radeon RX 7700 XT, which thus becomes more accessible.
The new AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE represents an interesting breath of fresh air for the mid-range segment of the graphics card sector, with a complete technical section and 16GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 18Gbps. Among the specifications we find 80 compute units and lightning accelerators, 160 AI accelerators, 64 MB of second generation AMD Infinity Cache and a 260W TBP.
As with other AMD models, the new Radeon RX 7900 GRE can also feature AMD HYPR-RX technology capable of simplifying and better managing the simultaneous interoperability of AMD Fluid Motion Frames, AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), AMD technologies Radeon Boost and AMD Anti-lag. Also noteworthy is the presence of DisplayPort 2.1 support.
The new graphics card will go on sale starting tomorrow, February 27th. The official launch price is 619.90 euros. Note that AMD confirmed the arrival of cards manufactured by all its main partners (Acer, ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphire and XFX).
Furthermore, AMD’s new strategy for the graphics card sector includes a second novelty. If the launch of the RX 7900 GRE was already good news, know that a price cut for the Radeon RX 7700 XT is also expected. One of the mid-range reference models is now offered at a starting price of 469 euros. The card was launched last September with a price of 519.90 euros.
