Apple Introduces Next-Generation Mac Pro: Unleashing Power and Performance with M2 Ultra Chip
Today is a big day for the Apple universe, which among its many innovations has announced the new Mac Pro, which is similar to Mac Studio but with the ability to use PCIe extensions.
The M2 Ultra has a 32-core neural engine that performs 31.6 trillion operations per second, which is 40% faster performance than the M1 Ultra. The multimedia engine is twice as powerful as the M2 Max and further accelerates video processing.
The display engine supports up to six Apple Pro Display XDR monitors, which can display more of 100 million pixels.
The Mac Pro has seven PCIe expansion slots, six of which are open expansion slots that support the faster 2x Gen 4, allowing users to add essential cards to it. From audio professionals who need DSP (Digital Signal Processing) cards, to video professionals who need SDI (Digital Serial Interface) I/O cards to connect professional cameras and monitors, to users who need additional network cards and memory.
