Ashampoo PDF Free 3.0.5 brings power to your free PDF reader
PDF Free, the free PDF viewer from Ashampoo, has received a major update with the release of version 3.0.5. PDF viewing and creation, with a special focus on a more intuitive and comfortable user experience. Best of all, the free PDF reader is now based on the same technology as Ashampoo’s Premium PDF Pro 3, which should make it a more efficient tool and overall faster workflows.
What’s new in Ashampoo PDF Free 3.0.5?
In addition to a major overhaul under the hood, PDF Free 3.0.5 also introduces a large number of features and QoL improvements across the board.
Most striking is the new ribbon-based user interface – described by the company as handy and elegant, meaning that comparisons to the Microsoft 365 layout are now hard to ignore. Certainly, the outdated UI might feel cluttered in older versions, while the new PD F Reader for Windows is cleaner and more modern, making it easier to navigate.
Dark mode has finally been added as well. With efficiency in mind, the PDF viewer’s new Quick Access Toolbar allows users to quickly switch between work modes. Size and zoom have also received an upgrade. Users will now find an icon size toggle button within the application and a document zoom built right into the status bar.
An additional 45 general fixes were also released for the software, including improved translations, better handling of fonts and images, and more reliability when opening specific files or elements on a document page.
