ASUS unveils ROG Azoth: The Ultimate Gaming Keyboard
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the ROG Azoth, the first custom ROG 75% Wireless gaming keyboard packed with features normally found only in premium DIY keyboards.
ROG Azoth has a built-in 2” OLED panel that can display keyboard status, Caps Lock status, connection mode and PC/Mac mode indicators. It can also display battery level, multimedia information, custom animations, as well as system parameters such as CPU temperature. Intuitive adjustments and configuration adjustments can be made via the three-way and one-button control knob.
Unique “Gasket Mount” design
A premium mounting design with 10 silicone seals and a three-layer foam bumper gives ROG Azoth a lightly cushioned feel with sublime acoustics. A durable 3.5 mm thick silicone pad inside the keyboard absorbs noise, while PORON foam absorbs ping sounds and echoes inside the keyboard. Additionally, the silicone-lined base completely eliminates echoes and provides a flat surface for the PORON foam.
ROG NX Mechanical Switches
The ROG NX mechanical switches used in ROG Azoth have pre-lubricated rods and base housings that provide a smoother click feel and eliminate spring return noise. In addition, ROG-tuned force curves and a quick-actuation design ensure excellent touch feel and key consistency. Switches can be swapped out for a unique, personalized feel.
ROG Keyboard Stabilizer
The ROG Keyboard Stabilizer is pre-oiled and specially tuned for gaming: it produces less friction, allowing long keys like Spacebar, Shift and Enter to stay true to the original feel of the Switch. The Spacebar has additional lubrication and modification to improve acoustics and feel. Dual-action ROG PBT keycaps provide a premium feel and provide long-lasting durability. The key design has been optimized with half-height keyboards and a shorter stem to reduce key wobble and provide more comfortable typing experiences.
Lubrication kit included
The ROG Azoth is the ideal keyboard for those looking to get into DIY keyboard customization. Included accessories are Krytox GPL-205-GD0 lubricant, three additional switches, keycaps and a switch puller, a switch pry tool, and a switch lubrication shelf.
Tri-mode connectivity and other features
ROG SpeedNova wireless technology delivers up to 2000+ hours of stable, non-stop, near-zero latency gameplay in 2.4GHz RF mode (with RGB and OLED off). Players can also charge Azoth while playing, using wired USB mode. ROG Azoth has two pairs of built-in keyboard stands to provide users with three tilt angles for a comfortable typing position. Additionally, a macOS mode remaps the keys for use with MacBooks and Macs.
