WhatsApp continues to work tirelessly to improve what is the most popular instant messaging application, introducing new features and fixing bugs found, all with the aim of ensuring an increasingly richer experience. Now, the launch of a new beta version of WhatsApp for iOS has started, with version 24.2.10.73, which comes with something new.

In recent weeks, it has emerged that developers are working on a Passkey feature to help users verify their accounts in situations where they encounter problems logging in (while also prioritizing security and convenience).

Already found in the Android application, this feature is also coming to WhatsApp for iOS, starting with beta version 24.2.10.73

WhatsApp team is developing a new section where users can configure their PassKey and this solution should improve the login procedure, eliminating the need for a 6-digit code to access your account.

After configuring it, users will be able to log into their accounts using existing authentication methods, such as Face ID, Touch ID or Password. However, at the moment this functionality is still under development and there is no information on when it will be available to all users.
