Meta, the visionary force behind Facebook and Instagram, has introduced a cutting-edge image-generation platform driven by artificial intelligence, named “Envision with Meta AI.” This platform harnesses the capabilities of its Emu image synthesis model. Envision with Meta AI is now accessible to users.
This platform empowers users to create distinctive images based on textual prompts. Meta meticulously trained the Emu model using a dataset of 1.1 billion publicly viewable images sourced from Facebook and Instagram. This implies that individuals who shared images on these platforms indirectly contributed to the training of the AI model (it is advisable to scrutinize the fine print attentively). The model exclusively utilizes publicly available photos for training purposes, but users can safeguard the confidentiality of their data by opting for private mode for their Instagram or Facebook photos.
It’s noteworthy that the image generation model of “Envision with Meta AI” was previously integrated into Instagram and WhatsApp. Although its outcomes align closely with those of Midjourney, the latter exhibits slightly superior efficiency in generating convincingly realistic images.
