Everything we know about the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro before its Official Announcement

It is no longer a secret to anyone, the Chinese manufacturer will hold an event next Tuesday where several new products will be announced, including the new Xiaomi 12T and its Pro version.

And thanks to the folks at WinFuture, we already know almost everything about the technical specifications of these two smartphones. Since it is not customized, Xiaomi promises to take care of the components of this mid-range series that dreams of overshadowing the top of the range. Between the Xiaomi 12T and the 12T Pro, there are many points in common, and starting with the presence of a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution, with 2712 x 1220 pixels. In both cases, their fingerprint sensor is built into the screen, and they have a 120Hz refresh rate.

The other common point is inside, and it concerns the 5000 mAh battery. Rumors say (ultra) fast charging, probably 120W on both models, however, other rumors say 67W fast charging on the non-Pro model. The last common specification should be its 20MP front camera (Sony IMX 595).

To make the equipment less expensive, Xiaomi will have to opt for a plastic chassis on both devices. The absence of nobler materials seems logical given the positioning of this series. As for colors, we expect to discover a Lunar Silver (silver) version in addition to Cosmos Black (black) and Clear Blue (blue). Android 12 and MIUI 13 will be at the helm of both terminals.

As we already mentioned in mid-September, it is inside that we have the differences between the two. The Xiaomi 12T Pro should have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is currently Qualcomm’s best. The powerful processor would be accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The “classic” Xiaomi 12T would opt for a MediaTek chip, the Dimensity 8100, which should guarantee good performance with its 8GB of RAM and 128 to 256GB of internal storage.

Of the two models, Xiaomi would not take much risk and would offer two proven SoCs, but it is in the photographic sector that the manufacturer will try to stand out. The Xiaomi 12T Pro should benefit from an impressive 200MP wide-angle sensor. This should be accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor and a 2MP Macro sensor. In turn, the Xiaomi 12T would be satisfied with a main sensor of “only” 108MP.

And what will be the price of the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro?

According to information from Roland Quandt, known for its reliability, we should expect a price of €580 for the Xiaomi 12T in its 8/128 GB RAM version. The model with 256 GB of storage would cost €630.

For its part, the Xiaomi 12T Pro would start at €770 in its 8/256 GB version while the 12/256 GB model would cost €800.
