Good news for those who occasionally make typos when entering URLs in Chrome: Google has introduced a set of enhancements to simplify and streamline your browsing experience. These updates were announced by Google on a Friday and include an improved autocorrect feature.

In the past, Google’s desktop version would only autocomplete URLs if you typed the exact beginning of a website’s address. Now, Chrome takes a more intuitive approach by recognizing words you’ve used previously to access a website and completing the URL accordingly, as reported by ZDNet.

Additionally, Chrome is now equipped to detect and correct typos you might make when entering a URL, whether you’re on a desktop, iOS, or Android device. It can suggest the correct address based on your browsing history and even offer recommendations for popular websites you haven’t visited before.

For revisiting previously accessed sites, Chrome enables you to search within specific bookmark folders and provides a new drop-down menu to help you rediscover forgotten URLs.

One of the most noteworthy improvements is that the desktop version of Google Chrome has become more responsive. As soon as you start typing a URL, the browser instantly generates results, making it quicker and more convenient to reach your desired destination.

The best part is that all these updates are readily available and do not require you to update Chrome to access them.
