Google Chrome for Android introduces two new features as of December 12, 2023, showcasing the continuous efforts of Google’s programming team to enhance the browser’s functionality. In version 120, users can now enjoy a revamped bookmarks page with larger folder and link previews, featuring a new design that includes blue folders for primary bookmark categories like mobile bookmarks and bookmarks bar, along with image previews when available. Despite displaying fewer markers simultaneously, this update prioritizes improved readability. The rollout of this fresh look is currently underway for all users.
Additionally, Google has made adjustments to enhance the browsing experience on premium Android tablets. Instead of the Mobile User-Agent typically used on Android devices, the browser now employs desktop mode for these high-end tablets. This strategic move is in response to the increasing availability of larger and more powerful Android tablets in the market. Google recognizes that desktop websites often deliver a superior user experience compared to their mobile counterparts on these advanced devices. For Google Chrome, premium Android tablets are defined as those with a minimum of 8GB RAM and a screen size of at least 10 inches.
