Google releases Android 14 beta 3

Yesterday Google started making available another beta version for its next operating system for smartphones, Android 14 beta 3. This new version arrives almost a month after beta 2 and a little over a week after it was made available the beta version 2.1, which came essentially to solve some bugs.

“Today, with Beta 3, we are highlighting new accessibility features such as non-linear font scaling, privacy enhancements including partial access to photos/videos, new support for animations in gesture navigation, as well as features that align more closely with the OpenJDK LTS 17 version,” said Google.

The new beta also brings the first stage of platform stability with APIs (level 34) and system behaviors finalized. Developers are encouraged to begin the final testing and development work required to ensure that a compatible version of their apps is ready for users when Android 14 is released in its final form.

Android 14 Beta 3 available for download

Android 14 Beta 3 is now available on Pixel smartphones. You can get it in your phone’s settings if you have the previous version. You can also join the beta program here. Otherwise, you can do a manual installation by obtaining the update file from the Google website.
