Lenovo announces 4th generation Tab M8: A low-cost 8-inch tablet

Lenovo has announced what is the 4th generation of its Tab M8 in Japan. It is one of the company’s best-selling tablets and comes just over 1 year after the launch of the 3rd generation device, which was announced in June 2021.

Like its predecessor, this Lenovo Tab M8 continues to feature a compact, slim design. In terms of technical specifications, it has an 8-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution, with 1280×800 pixels. Inside we have a low-cost Mediatek processor, the Helio A22, which is accompanied by 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a MicroSD card of up to 512GB.

Its battery has 5100mAh that can be recharged through its USB-C port, however, the charging speed was not announced. Lenovo guarantees that this battery offers up to 16 hours of autonomy. In terms of photography, we have a 2MP front sensor that is used for face unlocking, and a 5MP rear sensor. On the software side, the Lenovo Tab M8 leaves the factory with Android 12 with the promise of 3 years of security updates, although no major operating system updates have been promised.

As revealed, the tablet was announced in Japan and there it will be available in Arctic Gray colors for the equivalent of 164 euros for the Wi-Fi version and 185 euros for the LTE variant.
