Recently, a user reached out to Mikhail Parakhin, the newly designated head of Microsoft’s Windows and Web Experiences team, who often interacts on the X social platform. On December 31st, the user proposed a modification to the Start menu, suggesting the ability to effortlessly scroll through all applications without the recurrent need to select “all applications.”
In response, Parakhin acknowledged the concern, expressing his desire to enhance the Start menu experience. This feedback indicates potential future changes, possibly eliminating the need to repeatedly click “all applications” and signaling Microsoft’s commitment to refining the Start menu interface.
Additionally, Parakhin initiated a discussion among developers, inquiring about their preferred UX framework on Windows and the multithreading frameworks employed in a C++ setting.
Microsoft is also gearing up to launch a minor feature update, referred to as “Moment 5,” for Windows 11 in the early part of this year, preceding a more comprehensive system update projected for late 2024.
