Samsung announces Flex Hybrid at CES 2023
Flexible OLED displays have enabled the creation of a new generation of foldable smartphones, opening a new path in the design of innovative mobile products. These foldable screens are a first step and manufacturers are already working on new possibilities to go further and give new formats to smartphones and tablets, and even notebooks.
The Flex Hybrid screen has a foldable and stretchable part that allows for various combinations depending on whether the elements are deployed or not, offering a 10.5-inch display in 4:3 format and going up to a 12.4-inch display in 16 aspect ratio. :9.
Samsung Display touts it as the future of smart mobile devices but doesn’t say when, or if its integration, will be effective in a commercial product. In addition to the Flex Hybrid, the company presented another genre, the Flex Duet concept, which was initially presented last September by the CEO of Samsung Display, JS Choi, during the Intel Innovation event.
