Today, Samsung unveiled two upcoming monitors set to debut at the upcoming CES event in Las Vegas. Historically, the Odyssey series included a blend of curved and flat displays, with the flat variants predominantly using LED tech rather than the superior OLED.

The introduction of the Odyssey OLED G8 and Odyssey OLED G6 signifies a shift. Both are tailored to deliver sharp, high-contrast visuals suitable for gaming enthusiasts. Samsung highlights the G8 as its inaugural model boasting a flat 32-inch OLED display, boasting a 3,840-by-2,160 pixel resolution. The G8 impresses with a robust 240Hz refresh rate coupled with a 0.03-millisecond response time.

In contrast, the Odyssey OLED G6 sports a slightly smaller 27-inch screen with a 2,560-by-1,440 resolution. Yet, it compensates with a superior 360Hz refresh rate, maintaining the swift 0.03-millisecond response time. These monitors will join the revamped Odyssey OLED G9, which boasts a sprawling 49-inch curved display.

The enhanced Odyssey OLED G9 now integrates a “Multi Control” function. This innovative feature enables users to effortlessly transfer images or text between the Samsung monitor and other Samsung devices—such as the Galaxy Book, tablets, or smartphones—facilitating a more streamlined workflow via mouse and keyboard inputs, according to Samsung.

Moreover, all three monitors tout the “OLED Glare-Free technology,” are certified with VESA Display HDR True Black 400, and incorporate AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. They are equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB hub, and a DisplayPort 1.4 input.
