Samsung’s Ballie AI Robot Set to Launch This Summer with Google Gemini Integration

Samsung is preparing to release its home AI robot, Ballie, in both the United States and South Korea this summer. This smart companion is powered by Google’s Gemini AI and is designed to assist with various household tasks, including controlling lighting, welcoming visitors, and managing reminders and daily schedules.
Development on Ballie began back in 2020, and its latest capabilities were showcased at CES 2025. The robot can serve as a portable projector, respond to voice commands, and even boot up a gaming PC. Additional features are highlighted on Samsung’s promotional site.
Thanks to Gemini AI, Ballie is equipped to handle audio, video, and visual data from its built-in camera, as well as sensor inputs. This allows it to provide feedback on your appearance, such as suggesting outfit improvements or accessory choices based on how you look.
In addition to household support, Ballie can also respond to wellness-related questions. For instance, if you’re feeling drained, you can ask it for tips on boosting energy. Using Gemini, it will browse relevant Google Search results and offer personalized advice.
There are also reports suggesting that Samsung may introduce an AI Subscription Club for Ballie users and Galaxy phone owners, though pricing details for the robot and any potential subscription plan have not yet been disclosed.
