Top Video Games Of 2020 So Far

If you’re a gamer, 2020 has been an amazing year so far. Some incredible titles have been released, and are already likely destined to be classics. Of course, not everyone has been thrilled about every big title, but even so, these games have achieved incredible levels of success.

These are the biggest, and most successful video game releases of 2020 so far.

Doom Eternal

Dropping on March 20th, Doom Eternal continued the seemingly endless Doom franchise in style. Following up from the incredible success of Doom 2016, Doom Eternal followed many of the innovations made in the earlier release. But, it also went one step further in almost every regard, with better graphics, faster gameplay, more guns, more demons to kill, and so much more.

The phrase ‘a perfect shooter’ was being thrown around a great deal when Doom Eternal first released, but not everyone agreed with that sentiment. Some even claimed that Doom Eternal had strayed too far from the franchise’s roots. Either way, Doom Eternal was a smash hit.

Resident Evil 3 Remake

After the near universal acclaim of Resident Evil 2 Remake in 2019, another remake dropped this year, on April 3rd. Resident Evil 3 Remake, of course, showing that Capcom can still churn out the hits at a breakneck pace. Although not as well received as the previous year’s entry, Resident Evil 3 Remake still managed to be a major success. Some were less pleased about this remake, and preferred to get their kicks at Australian betting sites, but most agreed that Capcom are on a serious roll.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Another remake, and another smash hit, it seems like the Final Fantasy VII remake has been in development forever at https://australianbettingsites.org/esports/. But it finally dropped on April 10th, and most were pleased. Most, but not all. The biggest point of dismay was that the game really should have had been titled; Final Fantasy VII Part 1. It turns out that only a small portion of the original was remade, and that a number of other titles are likely due in the future. Still, the game shines with passion and attention to detail

Last Of Us Part II

Immensely anticipated, and releasing to a storm of controversy on June 19th, The Last Of Us Part II may be one of the most dividing games of all time. Some insist that it betrayed the original, while others hail it as a masterpiece. Whatever the opinions, the title is now the fastest selling PS4 exclusive of all time. So regardless if the game is or isn’t universally loved, it is still a ground breaking entry that will likely be talked about for many years to come.

Cyberpunk 2077

Releasing towards the end of the year, and also enormously anticipated, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to be the generation’s blockbuster event. Some fear that the game will never live up to the hype, while others have faith in beloved developers CDprojekt Red. Either way, breaths are held as release day inches ever nearer.
