UEFA EURO 2024: EA SPORTS FC 24 Unveils Free Update for Football Fans

Electronic Arts has announced that UEFA EURO 2024 will be featured in EA SPORTS FC 24, EA SPORTS FC Mobile, and EA SPORTS FC Online, offering players a chance to immerse themselves in the prestigious competition through a free in-game update set to launch in the summer of 2024.

This significant update will coincide with the commencement of UEFA EURO 2024 and will be available as a complimentary update for all EA SPORTS FC 24 players across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Fans who engage with EA SPORTS FC 24 before January 16, 2024, will receive an exclusive non-tradable Ultimate Team Player item featuring one of Europe’s top stars. This special offer begins on December 18. For EA SPORTS FC Mobile, players on iOS and Android devices can already obtain their UEFA EURO 2024 item.

The UEFA EURO 2024 Ultimate Team item will showcase one of the following European football stars:

  • Jack Grealish (England)
  • Ousmane Dembele (France)
  • Federico Chiesa (Italy)
  • Florian Wirtz (Germany)
  • Virgil Van Dijk (Netherlands)
  • Alvaro Morata (Spain)

David Jackson, Vice President of Brand at EA SPORTS FC, expressed excitement about integrating one of the major football tournaments into their titles. He emphasized the collaboration with UEFA and the delivery of authentic and innovative football experiences to fans.

UEFA Marketing Director, Guy-Laurent Epstein, shared enthusiasm for expanding the partnership with EA SPORTS and incorporating UEFA EURO 2024 into the EA SPORTS FC game. He highlighted the vibrancy and excitement of the tournament, expressing eagerness for the global EA SPORTS FC 24 community to engage with the championship in an authentic gaming environment. Further details about the eSports tournament, eEURO, are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

EA SPORTS will serve as the official platform for UEFA’s eEURO eSports program, a new tournament featuring the best EA SPORTS FC players in Europe, representing UEFA’s national football teams. The eEURO will be an annual series of tournaments, including qualifying rounds leading to a live final. The first live final is scheduled for this summer, with additional updates on the tournament structure to be announced soon.
