Windows 11: Microsoft announces end of support for some Versions
Microsoft recently revealed that only the 22H2 version of Windows 10 will continue to have official support, and this happens because the company wants to use the vast majority of its resources in the latest version of its operating system, Windows 11… and even in that , some of its versions are in the process of losing official support.
Microsoft is giving notice to those who are still using the original version of Windows 11, version 21H2. The company reveals that this operating system will reach the end of its useful life on October 10, 2023.
End of support means that the release will no longer receive cumulative updates with fixes, security patches and new features. According to Microsoft’s official post, the upcoming end of support affects the following editions of Windows that were released in October 2021:
- Windows 11 Home, version 21H2
- Windows 11 Pro, version 21H2
- Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, version 21H2
- Windows 11 Pro Education, version 21H2
These releases contain a plethora of long-requested changes and features to improve upon the original and highly controversial release.
