Windows 12 expected to be announced in late 2024

Windows 12 is yet to be released, but it is an operating system that is increasingly talked about. Microsoft’s new system, which is internally called Next Valley, could arrive next year, but now some of its recommended configurations have been revealed.
The German site Deskmodder actually believes it knows quite a bit about it. Microsoft must maintain the TPM 2.0 requirement for security reasons. And this turns out not to be a surprise, but it is confirmation that it may be a little early for the Pluton system. As a reminder, this coprocessor that debuted with the Ryzen 6000 provides additional protection by filling in gaps in the TPM.
The staff at Deskmodder claims that Windows 12 will require at least 8GB of RAM, which is twice the amount of RAM required by Windows 11. According to the website, this is due to its use focused on the cloud. As far as processors are concerned, nothing should change compared to the current operating system.
Windows 12 still doesn’t have an official release date, but Microsoft could choose to launch it in late 2024. The Redmond company would return to 3-year life cycles, as in the great era. In 2015, it tried to end that tradition by releasing Windows 10, the “best” operating system modernized by free updates. A job that lasted six years before the arrival of Windows 11.
It remains to be seen what Microsoft seeks to offer with Windows 12. A first concept had been shared by the company in 2022, and the idea would be to remain in the continuity of Windows 11 while offering a much more modern interface and more adapted to the mobility.
