- Caffeine: Caffeine can seriously disturb your sleep. This ingredient is found in coffee, tea and dark chocolate.
- Tomatoes: Tomatoes can cause acidity. Therefore, it should be avoided to eat it before sleeping. Tomatoes can also increase your restlessness, which can disturb your sleep.
- Alcohol: Alcohol can disturb your sleeping pattern.
- Spicy food: Foods high in spices can make you wake up at night. This can cause heartburn and acidity.
- Sweets: Don’t eat too much sweets before sleeping. This makes it difficult to fall asleep.
- Fast food: Junk food makes it difficult to sleep well. They contain more sugar, fat and carbohydrates, which cause problems in sleeping. Fast food also increases obesity, which can lead to sleep apnea disease.

- Milk: Warm milk is a very popular home remedy for good sleep. Since childhood, we are advised to drink milk at bedtime.
- Herbal tea: Chamomile tea is a good option for relaxing sleep. People who have insomnia i.e. sleeplessness, they are asked to drink this before sleeping.
- Almonds and Walnuts: These dry fruits are high in the sleep-regulating hormone melatonin. This improves the quality of sleep.
- Kiwi: This fruit has many properties that improve sleep. According to a study, eating two kiwis an hour before bedtime leads to early sleep.
- White Rice: Eating white rice an hour before bedtime improves the quality of sleep. This also prolongs your sleep period. However, it is better to eat it in the right amount as it is high in carbohydrates.
