Cardiology is the study of the heart and Cardiologists are doctors who have specialised knowledge and training skills in preventing, diagnosing and treating heart conditions. They are experts in heart muscle itself and the arteries and veins that carry blood. Cardiologist Duties Cardiologists are similar to other doctors in that they must evaluate their patients, examine their medical histories, and develop a plan of treatment. The following are the duties of Cardiologist: -Order medical tests, like echocardiograms, angiograms, or cardiac catheterization -Counsel patients about risks with heart disease -Advise patients on ways to prevent heart disease -Suggest diet and wellness changes to patients.
