A-1 Foam and Fabrics

In 1958, two California public school teachers pooled their savings to found “Foam Speciality Manufacturing Company.” The small storefront in Huntington Park was hardly keeping pace with the rising popularity of foam. When customers started asking for something to cover the foam, the first roll of vinyl was brought in. Inventory continued to expand in the 1960s and 1970s, relocating us into a 15,000 square foot warehouse, going from two to forty employees. Upholstery supplies and fabrics were added to the growing assortment of products.
