Cagliari Elmas Airport (IATA: CAG, ICAO: LIEE) is the main international gateway to the Italian island of Sardinia and the primary international airport. The airport was opened in 1937 but was refurbished in 2003 and now has all of the amenities you'd expect from a modern airport, including restaurants, bars, shops, a bank, money exchange, and ATMs, as well as an executive lounge that is pay-on-the-door and open to anyone, regardless of ticket class. Cagliari airport has only one terminal and two runways, with British Airways, EasyJet, Luxair, and Air Berlin among the carriers that fly regularly. The airport itself is divided into three levels, with arrivals on the ground floor and departures on the first.
