Why is therapy so expensive??? As a counsellor you get confronted with questions like that on a regular basis - it’s the kind of question that keeps you up at night. You become a counsellor to help people but who are you truly helping? During training they tell you “Enough people with money have problems to afford your service” but aren’t we missing the point? One could try to argue that therapy isn’t expensive it’s just not affordable to many but the result is the same: people who need help can’t get it.
