My name is Risa Reisman. I am a Registered Social Worker who has had diverse professional experience working with individuals of all ages. I received my Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology, with a Minor in American Sign Language from Carleton University in Ottawa, and a Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York City. I started my career working in the motor vehicle accident industry. This began my experience working with clients in their homes. Then I worked at the Canadian Hearing Society with individuals who were Deaf or hard-of-hearing. These individuals were living with mental health issues. My journey continued as a counsellor at George Brown College, where I worked directly with the student population. I supported these students with their mental health and everyday life challenges.
