A pink slip refers to the certificate you receive after your vehicle has passed an eSafety inspection. This inspection is required for certain vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy. In NSW, if your car is more than five years old, you will need a pink slip before you can renew your registration. The pink slip confirms that the vehicle meets all safety standards set by the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), now part of Transport for NSW.
