India produces tonnes of plastic waste every day. If these wastes are not properly disposed of, they can have serious consequences. The uncontrolled disposal of plastic garbage has wreaked havoc on the environment. As a result, in 2011, the government enacted the Plastic Waste (Management and Handling) Regulations, which included plastic waste management.
