Writing a paternity leave letter to an employee can be an important part of your organization's parental leave policy. It informs the employee of their rights and responsibilities when taking time away from work to care for a newborn or adopted child. A good paternity leave letter should include information about the length of the leave, any pay entitlements that may apply, and instructions on how to formally request the leave. Be sure to also include language that quickly communicates your commitment to supporting the employee during this exciting yet challenging life transition.
