How to Press Palm Fruit Oil? There are two different methods of extracting oil from digested material. One system uses a mechanical press, known as the dry method. Another method called the wet method uses hot water to leach out the oil. In the dry process, the purpose of the extraction stage is to squeeze the oil out of the mixture of oil, moisture, fiber and nuts by applying mechanical pressure to the digested mash. There are a large number of different types of presses, but the principle of operation of each is similar.
