Diocese of Parramatta

The Diocese of Parramatta is home to Western Sydney’s Catholic community and supports the spiritual and social needs of hundreds of thousands of Catholics across 47 parishes and 80 schools and 12 agencies and ministries. Established in 1986, the Diocese welcomes and supports multicultural communities spanning 7 local government divisions: Baulkham Hills Shire, Blacktown City, the City of the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury Shire, the Municipality of Holroyd, Parramatta City and Penrith City and parts of Wollondilly and Liverpool. St Patrick's Cathedral, Parramatta, is the seat of the Catholic Bishop of Parramatta, Bishop Vincent Long Van Nguyen OFM Conv.
