You can upgrade your seat with American Airlines seat upgrade either online before departure or at the airport on the day of travel. When online, you can select "Upgrade" on the Passenger Details page. For airport upgrades, check with the ticket counter upon arrival and they'll contact the gate agent on your behalf. There is an added fee for upgrades, which can vary and are subject to availability.
