Orange Cap in IPL is awarded to the player who scores the most runs in a single IPL season, with a prize money of Rs 15 lakh. The Purple Cap is awarded to the player with the most wickets in an IPL season. The current Orange Cap holder is Jos Buttler, who scored 863 runs in IPL 2022. The contenders for the Orange Cap in IPL 2023 include Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, David Warner, Jos Buttler, and Kyle Mayers. Shaun Marsh, Matthew Hayden, and Sachin Tendulkar are some of the past Orange Cap winners.
