How to turn the House into a Pleasurable and a Source of health.

We need a quiet place where we can relax, a place where we can forget about stress and worries, especially when we live in a city that can stand noise and pollution. Home is a sanctuary to find balance, fully express one’s personality and enjoy to the fullest. The key is in the senses: one must remain alert, cultivate sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing in order to surround oneself with positive surroundings.

We have to deal with the subtle effect that everything we see, touch, hear, beyond aesthetics and fashion, creates in our depth. Every change that is made in the apartment has an inner meaning: getting rid of a certain item can mean overcoming an emotional block, and the order in a room expresses the clarity of ideas with which one wants to direct one’s life feng shui , based on the experiences of many generations, makes very interesting suggestions in this regard. On the other hand, health care plays a role in the design of the house, as does respect for the environment.

The Hall

After crossing the threshold, the first room synthesizes the spirit that reigns in the house. It immediately conveys the feeling of security and intimacy of home to the residents. For visitors, the hall gives the first and most lasting impression: if it is positive, it conveys the desire to open up to others, new experiences and opportunities. A good idea is to have a shoe rack not only to organize and organize the shoes to prevent them from being scattered throughout the house, but also to offer slippers to visitors. A gloomy entrance like a cave makes you suspicious, gives you an unfriendly feeling and invites you to stumble. Therefore, if there is a window with a shutter, it will always remain open. According to Feng Shui, a mirror in the hallway intensifies the flow of life energy (Chi) and helps it spread throughout the home. Mobile noise becomes a sign of the identity of the Being at home.

Living room

It is a room dedicated to activity and communication. More than any other room, it expresses one’s personality and being in the world. The way it is enhanced, the style depends on the creativity of each individual. The door should be visible from the sofa to make those sitting feel safe and comfortable. It is practical that what can be seen from each seat is pleasant and nowhere does one feel isolated, for this it is advisable to arrange the seating in a circle around a small table. Natural textures and colors are more pleasing. It is not recommended to varnish a parquet floor with conventional products, as they emit toxic gases (natural wood is treated with linseed oil and beeswax). Light green, yellow or ocher tones, for example, facilitate good lighting and relaxation, but striking accents are appropriate in a space also dedicated to activity

Bedroom

It is the space for encountering oneself, through dreaming, reading or meditation in solitude . .

Study

The space reserved for work must encourage activity and creativity. On the other hand, more and more people want a space in which they can pursue their personal interests and turn it into a kind of retreat. The chair is the heart: it has to be ergonomic, i.e. adapted to the needs of the body. Others prefer those with a reclined seat with knee support. The latter can be reduced by moving away from the devices. Chemicals can be combated with good ventilation and the placement of three or four plants which, as we have already said, have the power to absorb pollutants. A study doesn’t have to be an aseptic place. These objects inspire you to be more creative.

Kitchen

The main source of health in a home is the kitchen, where the foods that nourish the body and mind are prepared. The kitchen exerts an attraction on the people who live in the house: it is easy to gather there in a lovely atmosphere. Crockery and utensils made of steel, ceramic, cast iron and glass are healthier than plastic and aluminium, lightweight materials that yield substances that can be harmful. With a minimum of light, aromatic plants cannot be missing. Embellish pots with basil, rosemary, mint, sage, chives, parsley, thyme, dill, fennel… are a fresh spice and keep insects away.

Bathroom

The space dedicated to personal care is becoming more important every day. What started as a crooked and small place to satisfy unavoidable needs has grown into a temple of well-being, an ideal place to de-stress. The elements of water and metal dominate in the bathroom. Feng Shui recommends balancing this area by strengthening the elements of earth, fire and wood. Suitable colors for this are yellow, ocher, blue and green. Some objects reinforce the desired elements and create a warm atmosphere: plants and flowers, large candles, clay and wooden objects Saving water consists in installing controlled drainage cisterns (on an older model, you can reduce water drainage by installing two or three put full bottles in) and save on shower phones (they increase water pressure and reduce the amount that spills).

 Dining Room

In many homes there is practically no dining room, or the less time the better. TVs and sofas exert a strong attraction. However, treating the dining room as a valuable space means giving due importance to the food, as it requires time and a relaxed attitude. Feeling comfortable in the dining room is a good help to fully enjoy the food. The properties of the furniture should attract us and give us security. Feng Shui recommends tables without aggressive edges that provoke a defensive attitude: circular, oval or rounded corner tables are best. Creating a comfortable atmosphere is the other secret, so that attention can be focused on the conversation and on the food, which needs to be enjoyed unhurriedly. Distractions such as televisions, bright lights or conspicuous objects need to be eliminated.

Balcony

The balcony or terrace, no matter how small, are outdoor spaces within reach at any time. You go to get some oxygen, or to escape a sudden feeling of claustrophobia, so you shouldn’t find them deserted or full of clutter. They better be full of life.

Even on a small balcony, even more so on a terrace, it is possible to grow some vegetables in window boxes or have a fruit tree.
