Latest Microsoft PowerPoint allows new level of Customization
Microsoft is testing an update for PowerPoint that will allow users to add a new level of customization to their presentations. The headline feature, called Cameo, resides in PowerPoint’s Recording Studio and will allow you to use a webcam feed to make video recording your presentation even more personal and create an immersive storytelling experience, Microsoft says.
Perfectionists are fully catered for with the latest update as it appears you can customize your feeds appearance before you shoot and apply your favorite camera styles, shapes and sizes to Cameo and choose the spot on the slide for your Camera feed that best suits your presentation
The new feature is currently available for Office Insiders who are Beta Channel Version 2207 (Build 15 425.20000) or later.
What else is new?
Aside from the video-related updates, Microsoft is also testing new features in PowerPoint to make line spacing changes and change slide backgrounds with images. All of these new features are currently available to Office Insiders running Beta Channel Version 2207 (Build 15425.20000) or later.
Don’t worry if you are not a Microsoft Insider, all of the above updates will be rolled out to the general public in the future, although Microsoft hasn’t said exactly when.
Those aren’t the only new features the tech giant has packed into its classic office software amid competition from rival products like Prezi and Google Slides. For example, PowerPoint users have recently been given the ability to add their own custom fonts to presentations, and new integrations with Microsoft Teams have made virtual presentations a lot less of a chore.
