Playing Android Games on Windows 11 just Got Super Easy!

Android Games on Windows 11

One of the biggest novelties of Microsoft’s latest operating system is the system’s ability to natively run Android applications on Windows 11. Although this feature is still in a testing state with Insiders, the functionality still continues to improve through several bug fixes and other additions such as keyboard support. But being able to use Android apps on Windows is good, but being able to enjoy your smartphone games on PC can be even better.

So, in January, Google Play Games arrived on Windows, bringing with it a handful of games. Today, the platform is deployed in several other countries, namely in Thailand and Australia. No release date for Portugal yet, but it doesn’t matter: we have good news to announce. Is that now, the minimum configuration required to run the games has dropped significantly.

Remember that Android apps on Windows 11 require a certain amount of processing power to work properly. Gaming, on the other hand, is even more demanding, requiring at least a dedicated graphics card, an 8-core processor and 20GB of available storage. All these prerequisites have therefore been revised downwards. Thus, a GPU integrated into the processor is enough to run games.

Android Games on Windows 11 Now Require Less Hardware

Likewise, Google now recommends a processor with a minimum of four cores. This opens the door to a whole range of chips, which can easily be found in conventional laptops. As for the storage required, it is now only 10GB, meaning that many more users will now have access to this feature. Since its launch about fifty games have been added to the catalog.
