Apple announces the date of Keynote: The event where it will announce the new iPhone 14

Rumors already pointed to a date a few days ago, but now it’s official. Apple revealed that it will hold its keynote that will serve to announce the company’s new smartphones, the iPhone 14, on September 7, at a special event broadcast from its Apple Park.

The first invitations are accompanied by the message “The adventure continues”  and the lecture will start at 6:00 pm in Portugal, and will be the opportunity for the brand to present some new products.

The most anticipated announcement obviously concerns the iPhone 14. There has been talk of this new generation for several months, and it will mark a turning point in the smartphone’s rich history. In fact, the iPhone 14 will mark the end of the “mini” model and the arrival of a “Max” variant. These devices will always be supported by the Pro versions, which will still benefit from the brand’s latest innovations.

This year, the difference may also increase between the different models of the brand. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are expected to feature an A16 chip and a new 48MP camera that support 8K video recording and would be entitled to a double punch on the screen, instead of the usual notch. The Pro models are also rumored to have more RAM and an Always On display. This would display basic information, just like its main Android competitors. And you guessed it, the non-Pro iPhone 14 won’t be entitled to so many new features. An unprecedented difference in treatment at Apple that would keep the current A15 chip in the “classic” versions.

Keynote to introduce the iPhone 14 will take place on September 7

During this keynote, the new Apple Watch 8, the Apple Watch SE 2 and an incredible Apple Watch Pro will also be revealed. The first will distinguish itself from the competition by offering a temperature sensor while the Watch SE 2 would maintain its status as a more “affordable” version. However, it’s the Watch Pro that’s likely to grab attention, offering an entirely new design and beefier approach. It would be aimed at a specific audience, with a focus on a more robust design and greater autonomy. Inevitably, this runs the risk of raising its price, which according to what is being revealed, will be close to 1000 euros.

To accompany these new products, Apple will take advantage of Keynote to announce the launch of its new operating systems, iOS 16 and watchOS 9. On the other hand, the September event should not concern iPads and Macs that will wait until October , to be entitled to your own event, just like iPadOS 16.
