The most beneficial and tasty hemp recipes

Hemp

CBD cannabis and hemp, species of the Cannabis genus of oriental origins, have nutritional characteristics that have attracted the attention of many chefs and cooking enthusiasts for a long time.

Although the hemp plant has already been cultivated in ancient times by ancient and contemporary civilizations, it has only recently been rediscovered in the modern West.

If the primary use of hemp Sativa is reserved for industry, the recent discovery of the beneficial properties of its substances (CBD) has made it a phytotherapeutic plant. Besides, you can also buy the best CBD Buds online as it is now legal in Ireland and Europe.

There are several benefits found in cannabis seeds from which different ingredients can be obtained for tasty and valuable recipes: from hemp oil (not to be confused with CBD oil) to hemp flour with hemp milk.

Hemp-based recipes: from hemp seed to ingredients

Before discussing the tasty recipes, it is good to stop and talk about the raw material: hemp seeds.

Let’s clarify one thing right away: hemp Sativa seeds do not contain CBD. Cannabis is a very versatile plant, the parts of which can be used in different ways; therefore, the marijuana leaves, flowers, and seeds have unique uses and destinations.

Tasty and nutritious CBD recipes

If hemp oil, obtained from the cold pressing of the seeds, is a good condiment for foods, flour and milk are excellent ingredients to produce delicious hemp-based recipes.

  1. Recipes based on hemp flour

Hemp flour is among the ingredients obtained from the cannabis plant best known. It is obtained from the grinding of hemp Sativa seeds, and, to begin with, its caloric intake is estimated to be about 20/25% less than 00 flour.

The benefits of hemp flour are many; it contains all the essential amino acids to ensure the well-being of the body. In addition, it contains polyunsaturated fatty acids such as Omega-3; it is rich in fibre, mineral salts and vitamins.

Among the noteworthy features is that it is a gluten-free flour, therefore, digestible by everyone. The only flaw of hemp flour is its small amount of nickel; this substance, even if in a small percentage, can be considered disturbing for those suffering from intolerance. Therefore, it is advisable to inquire first.

The recipes made with hemp flour are pasta, bread and marijuana cookies.

Let’s see some tasty recipes.

Hemp paste

Hemp paste has a very similar flavour to hazelnut; therefore, it lends itself to being seasoned with vegetables, green sauces and aromas such as ginger and mint.

Hemp pasta recipes are usually vegetarian or even vegan, so they naturally contain little fat and many nutrients.

The hemp pastes can come in any format; long or short pasta; in this article, we propose the recipe for homemade gluten-free fettuccine :

To prepare hemp paste for people, you need:

  • 40 grams of hemp flour;
  • 80 grams of rice flour;
  • 120 gr of rice starch;
  • 4 eggs;
  • Salt.

First, the flours and cornstarch are mixed. Next, a fountain is formed, and eggs and a handful of salt are placed in the centre. Finally, beat the eggs in a separate container thanks to a fork and add the flour away.

When the dough begins to thicken, you can start working it with your hands until it becomes smooth and homogeneous.

The dough is wrapped in a dry cloth and left to rest for half an hour. To make the tagliatelle, the dough must be cut into four parts, and each part is rolled out with a rolling pin, after which the fettuccine is cut.

Hemp CBD milk for delicious recipes

Hemp milk is food made by blending hemp seeds with water. It is naturally rich in nutrients already present in hemp seeds, such as omega 3 and omega 6 and vitamin E. Hemp milk can be helpful in structuring diets against high cholesterol, hypertriglyceridemia and hypertension. Not having psychoactive substances, it has no side effects; instead, it is rich in vegetable proteins of high biological value.

Hemp fu: recipe to prepare it at home

The best-known food that can be prepared with hemp milk is Hemp fu, a kind of tofu, for which the main production ingredient is the milk of the cannabis seeds instead of soy milk.

Like tofu, hemp-fu is also produced from the curdling of vegan milk; naturally, hemp-fu can be purchased in all specialized shops, but organic ones; however, it is an easy food to produce even at home. Let’s see how.

For 100 grams of hemp tofu, you need the following:

  • 300 ml of hemp milk;
  • 1 pinch of sugar;
  • salt.

Put the hemp milk in a saucepan, combine the salt and sugar, and boil, keeping the heat low. Slowly, the hemp milk begins to thicken and form flakes, which become larger through cooking.

When the liquid is entirely coagulated, the flame must be turned off, and the curd is collected with a slotted spoon and placed in a bowl. The creaminess of hemp-fu depends on how much whey you decide to leave in the curd. The more you remove, the more compact the hemp tofu will be.

The hemp was to drain for an hour; you are advised to place the mould in a tight container. When the hemp tofu is cold, it is put in the fridge to harden for a couple of hours.

Hemp-fu is an excellent and versatile food, to be eaten fresh with salad (perhaps dressed with CBD oil—as the one you can legally buy online at JustBob.shop—or fried; it is also an excellent base for other tasty recipes.
