Tips to Send Large Files in Gmail: A Simple Workaround

If you’ve ever tried to send a large file through Gmail, you may have hit the 25MB file size limit. However, there is a workaround: Google Drive. This feature allows you to send files up to 10GB in size without having to switch between Gmail and Drive. Here’s how to do it.

Firstly, you need a valid Google account and the large file uploaded to Google Drive. Then, to compose a new email in Gmail, open http://gmail.com and click on Compose. At the bottom of the Compose window, click on the Google Drive icon, select My Drive, navigate to the folder containing the large file, and click on Insert.

Compose your email, and the recipient will receive an email with a link to the file. Just click on the link to download the file. If you’re using the mobile Gmail app, tap on the paper clip icon in the Compose window, select Insert from Drive, select the large file, and tap Select. Then, compose your email, and hit send.

This feature is straightforward and useful for sending large files without having to worry about email size limitations. However, note that files larger than 10GB cannot be sent through Gmail and may need to be mailed using a USB flash drive.
