Apple is preparing new interface for iMessage

iMessage has grown hand in hand with the iPhone over the past decade, but its fate has remained more or less the same. Now, however, the app may be on the cusp of receiving its biggest overhaul ever.
According to new information, Apple is currently working on a “completely revamped” version of iMessage. This information was first presented in a tweet and was later reported by various media outlets focused on Apple products.
It should be noted that the track record of the source of this information is far from impeccable and is therefore for what it’s worth. Either way, the design review will include “new home, chat rooms, video clips, and new augmented reality chat features.”
The last point is perhaps the most interesting. Apple is currently working on an augmented reality headset, which is expected to launch next year. According to our old acquaintance Mark Gurman, the main focus of the new device will be communication (ie messaging).
So iMessage is, once again, ready to evolve, perhaps not in the way many have asked – Apple is still doing everything in its power to block messages across platforms. However, it will be interesting to see how one of the company’s most important characteristics adapts to new technological realities.
