Coming Soon Intelligent Translation for Microsoft Teams Mobile users

Microsoft Teams messages in a foreign language might soon not be a problem, thanks to a new update to the service. The video conferencing platform is working on introducing -so-called intelligent translation for users of Microsoft Teams Mobile. Coming soon to Android and iOS users, this feature means users can quickly translate messages into a foreign language waithout encountering lag or errors.

The new feature will prompt you to translate messages that aren’t in your language. There’s no mention of which exact languages will be covered by the new feature, but it’s likely a full range will be offered. Microsoft notes that the feature is set to launch in August 2022, which means it’s only a few weeks away for Android and iOS users.
Microsoft Teams update finally eliminates those unnecessary headaches. Users are connecting all over the world. The company first announced plans in May 2021 to introduce inline, real-time translation for Teams mobile users to boost communication around the world. Back in March 2022, the company introduced Z-Code, a new AI technology that models the quality of production translations.
Supporting the creation of AI systems that can speak, see, hear and understand, Z-Code has already been integrated with the company’s Microsoft Translator software and several other Azure AI services. Microsoft Teams brought another form of real-time translation capability to desktop video conferencing earlier this year with a new addition that provides access to a large network of professional interpreters who dial into meetings on demand. As the team session starts, Microsoft Teams users can switch between the original audio feed and the interpreter’s translation via a drop-down menu.
