Galaxy S26 Rumors: What to Expect From Samsung’s Next Flagship
Samsung typically launches its flagship Galaxy S series in the first few months of the year—usually January or February—but whispers about the Galaxy S26 lineup have already begun to circulate. Leakers and analysts are sharing early predictions about its design, performance, AI integration, and camera upgrades.
Of course, these are preliminary reports, so it’s best to treat them as speculation until Samsung officially announces the details.
Galaxy S26 Lineup: Farewell to the Edge?
The Galaxy S25 range currently includes five devices—the standard S25, the S25 Plus, the S25 Ultra, the slim S25 Edge, and the budget-friendly S25 FE. That’s a crowded lineup, and according to recent rumors, Samsung may be planning to trim things down.
Earlier reports hinted that the company could follow Apple’s lead and discontinue the Plus model due to weaker sales, focusing instead on three versions: the base model, the Ultra, and the Edge.
However, that plan may have changed. A recent report from the Korean publication The Elec suggested that the S25 Edge isn’t performing well commercially, prompting Samsung to revive the Plus variant for the next generation. A newer article from NewsPim reinforces this claim, saying that Samsung has scrapped the S26 Edge entirely and stopped production on the current Edge model. An unnamed company insider reportedly stated that the slim “Edge” version might not return at all.
Meanwhile, another major update involves branding—several leakers claim that the base Galaxy S26 may be reintroduced as the Galaxy S26 Pro, marking a potential shift in how Samsung positions its flagship lineup.
Galaxy S26 Design: Following Apple’s Lead?
Renders and leaks suggest that Samsung may be taking design inspiration from Apple’s recently revealed iPhone 17 lineup. The upcoming Galaxy S26 models reportedly feature rectangular camera housings, similar to Apple’s new look.
Here’s what the rumors indicate so far:

The Galaxy S26 Pro (formerly the base model) might include a vertical triple-camera module.

If the S26 Edge makes it to production, it could feature an ultra-wide, horizontal camera bump stretching across the back, similar to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, with two cameras.

The S26 Ultra is expected to keep its triple vertical camera array, with an additional lens positioned separately.
Leaks also point to a new “cosmic orange” color option for the S26 Ultra, echoing Apple’s fresh color palette.
S Pen and Qi2 Enhancements
The Galaxy S25 Ultra was the only model with S Pen support, but it lost Bluetooth and Air Actions functionality. It also wasn’t fully compatible with the Qi2 wireless charging standard because magnetic accessories interfered with the S Pen’s digitizer. Instead, Samsung described it as “Qi2 ready,” meaning it only worked with certain magnetized cases.
According to SamMobile, Samsung plans to upgrade its stylus technology for the S26 Ultra so users can take advantage of a wider range of Qi2-compatible accessories beyond just protective cases.
Display and Size Adjustments
When it comes to screens, the S26 Pro may get a minor bump in size—from 6.2 inches to about 6.27 inches—while the rest of the lineup is expected to maintain the same display dimensions and aspect ratios as the S25 series.
