Gmail becomes Smarter and more Efficient for users

GOOGLE

Gmail is, without a doubt, one of the most popular and beloved services offered by Google, representing one of the pillars of the search giant’s entire system.

Available for almost two decades, older users can come across an almost endless list of messages, and for that very reason, searching in the application is very important and extremely necessary if you want to quickly find an old email with important information. Well, the Gmail team decided to make their web email client’s search engine more efficient, introducing an improvement already anticipated by the giant last July.

The feature presented by the Gmail developer team is represented by a suggestion system (which also concerns contacts) that is based on previous user interactions.

In practice, searches will also take into account the user’s previous search activity, which means that the results will also be optimized based on what he was looking for in the past.

The Mountain View giant explained that it hopes these changes will be able to make Gmail search results “more relevant and contextual” for users. It should be noted that this new feature requires constant access to data connectivity, so if you use Gmail offline, the research will not work.

This is a server-side improvement that users should immediately notice when accessing the app’s web client, which is based on machine learning technologies. According to what was announced by Google, this new search system should be available to all users within a few weeks.
