Google announces Chrome update on Android tablets

Google has announced a browser update with something new for Android tablets. This concerns the existing tablets and the future Pixel Tablet that will arrive in 2023.
The update mainly aims to better organize the tabs and take advantage of the larger screens normally found on tablets. For example, Chrome will have a new tabs overview page that will show previews of each running tab, along with the usual row of tabs in the address bar. Google has also introduced a new “tiling design” that makes it easier to find the right tab.
On the other hand, it will be possible to drag images, texts and links from Chrome to other applications present on the tablet, such as Gmail, Photos and Keep. This same functionality is available on devices other than tablets, but it’s more of a long tap, tap to share or select apps. This new feature relies on drag and drop, which makes things much easier.
Finally, the Chrome team decided to close the ad with a little teaser. Tab groups will soon be available in Chrome for tablets. They allow tabs to be grouped together for easier management.
Some new features for Google’s browser are already available, others will arrive with a future update. As always with Google, this is a gradual rollout and may take some time to reach all users.
