Chromecast with Google TV 4K gets Android 12 update

If you have a Google Chromecast with Google TV 4K, you will be happy to know that the search giant has released the Android 12 update for it. This update of 722MB size, arrives with some news and the July 2022 security patch.
Among the most important novelties of this update is the update of the Android TV 10 operating system to Android TV 12 and this includes the “switch” for the camera and microphone, thanks to which users have the possibility to disable, or enable, access to camera and microphone for all forms.
The Google team also highlights among the new features the additional controls that will allow users to control the HDR format and surround sound and the ability to match the frame rate of the content.

As always, the update is being made available via OTA, and if you want to check its availability, you just need to open the Settings Menu on your Chromecast, select System and then Info. Then you just need to click on System Update.
