Pixel 8a appears to be ready for its announcement

There has been talk of a more economical device in the Pixel 8 series for months, but so far no word has been said by Google. Since the company announced the Pixel 7a last May, it is very normal to think that the announcement of a supposed Pixel 8a could happen soon.

Now, a new image shows that this Pixel 8a really exists, and accompanied by information that it will arrive sooner than expected. The information does not reveal an exact date for the launch of the equipment, but states that Google will not wait until May to announce it.

The image we see on the cover of this article shows the box of the new Google smartphone, and we can see that its design is very similar to the one we have on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Another confirmation is that the device will arrive with charging support of 27W.

If we take the previous information into account, this Pixel 8a should arrive with an underclocked variant of the Tensor G3, the same chip that equips the other Pixel 8, with a Mali-G715 GPU. This chip will be accompanied by 8GB of RAM and naturally running Android 14.
