Google releases version 8 of Android Auto

Android Auto 8 is available for Download

Google starts distributing Android Auto 8, the latest version of its platform. Several users have started to report that they are receiving the “8.0.623314” update via the Play Store.

A quick visit to APK-Mirror and Android Auto 8 is already listed as the latest release too. Recently, many users complained about Android Auto on the Google forums, here and there there were errors that Google had to solve, so this release is not surprising.

A few days ago Google shared some information about what it would address in the next update of the tool, as well as what bugs they were fixing. Presumably not all bug fixes arrived with this version of Auto, but many should have been resolved.

Unfortunately Google doesn’t share a specific changelog about what’s new in this new summer, and besides, it’s not being made available to all users, so it suggests it’s a phased rollout.

For now, we just have to wait to see what news comes with the new version, as Google doesn’t give any information about it.
