Grammarly Rebrands as Superhuman, Launches “Superhuman Go” AI Productivity Platform

Grammarly has officially rebranded as Superhuman, unveiling a new AI-driven productivity platform called Superhuman Go. The company says the name change marks its transformation from a writing assistant into a broader AI-native platform designed to help users work more efficiently across apps and devices.
Superhuman Go is available now in early access for free through Grammarly for Chrome and Edge, with a full rollout planned for Mac and Windows. A premium subscription, priced at $144 per year, will offer expanded capabilities and advanced customization options.
Competing in an AI-Crowded Market
The move comes as Grammarly faces mounting competition from major technology players, including OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft, which have all integrated generative AI into their productivity suites. Grammarly laid off 230 employees last year amid the AI boom, and the new Superhuman identity represents its effort to stay relevant in a rapidly shifting market.
The company, which claims more than 40 million daily active users, says Superhuman Go will extend far beyond grammar correction or writing feedback. Instead, the product aims to act as a comprehensive AI assistant that supports users “everywhere they work.”
A New Kind of AI Assistant
Superhuman describes Go as a “team of AI agents” that can handle a variety of tasks simultaneously—brainstorming ideas, gathering information, composing emails, and scheduling meetings—all within the user’s current workspace.
Unlike earlier versions of Grammarly that required user prompts, Superhuman Go is designed to be proactive. It identifies opportunities to assist, such as suggesting better phrasing, pulling up relevant data, or helping with scheduling in real time.
For example, during a chat about meeting times, Go can automatically display the user’s calendar availability and help finalize a booking without switching tabs or apps. The company says these incremental time savings add up to meaningful productivity gains.
Multi-Agent System and App Integrations
Superhuman Go also supports the use of multiple AI agents working in parallel, particularly when refining writing or managing workflow tasks. Users can access a Superhuman Store to install specialized agents and plug-ins that integrate with third-party applications.
When asked about the underlying AI models, Superhuman said it employs “a range of models and providers,” continuously evaluating which systems perform best for different kinds of tasks.
Privacy and User Control
As concerns over AI data practices continue to grow, Superhuman emphasized that it does not sell or monetize user content. The company says users maintain ownership of their data and that third-party service providers are not permitted to train their models on user-generated material.
What It Means for Existing Users
For existing Grammarly, Coda, and Superhuman Mail customers, the company says there will be no disruption to current services. Instead, users will gain access to new AI capabilities integrated into a single platform.
With the launch of Superhuman Go, the company is positioning itself at the intersection of AI and productivity software—aiming to compete head-on with some of the biggest names in the tech industry.
