Latest Microsoft Outlook Upgrade : Good news for Apple Users
Working on different platforms can be a challenge even for us, but the latest Microsoft Outlook update could be a boon for Apple fans who are hoping for just that. Handoff, a feature in Apple devices that transfers user activity between multiple devices associated with the same user, is coming soon to Microsoft’s email service. This means users can start an activity like reading or composing an email in Outlook on one Apple device and then continue that activity from the same point on another.
According to a new entry (opens in a new tab) in the Microsoft 365 product roadmap, the update will be generally available in August 2022, and Microsoft isn’t set to preview the feature. This isn’t the only update Microsoft has planned for its flagship email client. In fact, big changes are on the horizon for Outlook.
Microsoft recently unveiled its new email experience called One Outlook for users who signed up for the Office Insiders Beta Channel, billed as a way to unify all of Microsoft’s disparate services. Formerly codenamed Project Monarch, Microsoft’s new iteration of email service offers users a number of updates and changes, including the introduction of message reminders, simplified cloud file attachment methods, and a unified view for calendar, email and task items. And it’s not just Microsoft updating its productivity software; Apple refines its own tools. In 2021, Apple revamped its iWork suite of productivity tools with a new set of features focused on hybrid working, giving users more ways to present and modify documents on the go.
