Sony announces the new Xperia 5 IV Smartphone
Sony has just announced the new Xperia 5 IV, a smartphone with characteristics very close to the Xperia 1 IV, but in a lighter and “compact” format, despite this being a relative concept.
And when referring it as compact, it’s because it has a 6.1-inch screen, something that is not so usual anymore. This screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio and has FullHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support.
Inside we have a top processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card up to 1TB. Still inside we have a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. However, in the box, Sony does not provide any charger or cable, which will have to be purchased separately.
For photography, the Xperia 5 IV has a triple camera system, in which the main sensor has 12MP and is accompanied by an ultra wide-angle sensor with 12MP and a telephoto lens, also with 12MP. AF/AE tracking is included, as is burst mode, but the camera loses continuous optical zoom.
Other highlights of this Xperia 5 IV is the fact that it has IP65/68, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 certifications. In addition, it has Hi-res and 360 Reality support.
Pricing and Availability Xperia 5 IV
Its availability has not been revealed at the moment, nor the markets where it will take place. However, its price is fixed at 1049 euros.
